Please see below the announcement that the CSO Survey Deadline has been extended to April 15, 2015.  If you have not done so already, please participate!

Civil Society Organization (CSO) Survey

Global Study on the Implementation of UNSCR 1325

You’ve been invited by the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP), the International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN), Cordaid, and the NGO Working Group on Women, Peace and Security (NGOWG on WPS) to offer your views, concerns and recommendations on your work on women and peace and security through a Civil Society Organization Survey.

This important CSO survey was developed jointly by the GNWP, ICAN, Cordaid and the NGOWG on WPS, with inputs from UN Women and other members of the UN Inter-agency Standing Committee on Women, Peace and Security.

The views you share will directly feed into the Global Study on the Implementation of UNSCR 1325, called for under UNSCR 2122 to “highlight examples of good practice, implementation gaps and challenges, and priorities for action.”

In order to participate, please:

1.  Click on this link

2. Copy-paste the entire following link between quote marks (NOT including the quote marks) in a web browser: “”

The survey is available in English, Arabic, French and Spanish. You may select your language of choice at the top left corner of the introductory page of the survey.

Given our shared goals of maximizing CSO voices on a global scale, please note that this is very detailed survey. It can take 45 minutes or more to complete, so you may wish to complete it in multiple sessions. If you want to save your work and return to it at a later time, you can click on the “Save & Continue Later” button at the bottom of the page to save your previous answers and return later to your saved work at any time from any computer. The system will create a NEW URL which is necessary to re-enter the survey where you left off. You can copy this URL or enter an email address to which the system will send it.

Note that the survey software autosaves each completed page in case of internet interruptions or other technical difficulties. However, unless you have used the “Save & Continue Later” option, you can only return to your autosaved work if you do so within 24 hours, and on the same computer (using the original URL). Please also note that if you leave your computer INACTIVE for 60 minutes (without saving), your information will be lost.

We highly encourage you to submit your answers via sogosurvey; however, should you be unable to complete the survey online due to internet connectivity problems, you may open the Word document by clicking here, fill it out, and submit it to GNWP at

Surveys will now be accepted until April 15, 2015.

Please note that your answers will be anonymous and should reflect your institutional views. We ask that only one person per CSO complete the survey; however, we encourage you to discuss the questions with your colleagues referencing the Word document before beginning the survey on-line.

To maximize our outreach, we request that you also share this email with other CSOs you know that are working on advocacy and action on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 and the supporting resolutions on Women, Peace and Security.

For any questions on the survey, please contact Danielle Goldberg (Program Officer, Global Network of Women Peacebuilders) at

Many thanks for your time and participation!
