The Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) has launched it’s initiative Partnership Beyond Numbers.
“This message is simple, clear and concise. You can only get so far on your own.” said Andrew Conway IPA Chief Executive Officer. “The theme for the campaign is a fresh, vibrant presentation focused on our core intention of providing ‘partnerships beyond numbers.”
The IPA is a professional organisation for accountants recognised for their practical, hands-on skills and a broad understanding of the total business environment. As a progressive, responsive accounting body committed to integrity, professionalism and professional development, it represents more than 20,000 members and students working in industry, commerce, government, academia and private practice.
IPA has an extensive network of stakeholders and endeavours to influence the international direction of accounting and financial services through standard setting and the portability of qualifications. Through its CSR program it supports organisations that reflect that values of the IPA, such as JERA International in its endeavours to promote gender equality in all areas of life.
At the recent APEC Women and the Economy Summit, host US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton remarked on the evidence-based case for the inclusion of women as a vital source of economic growth. She articulated important steps in a path toward the Participation Age—where every individual has the opportunity to be a contributing and valued member of the global marketplace—including strategies to remove barriers that have prevented women from being full participants in the economy and unlock their potential as drivers of economic growth.
